hard-to-find

good friends are hard to find...when you think you have found a good one, snatch them with gentle, open arms, make sure you keep them. stay true, genuine, honest & keep them safe when your with them.

you have 'friends' then you have 'good friends'.....such a huge difference between the 2 you know. you probably have many 'friends' & only a few 'good friends', that's actually OK cause those 'good friends' are the ones who have most time for you and you have the most time for them (you can't make huge amounts of time for all your 'friends' anyway, that would be impossible unless your god of course)...you don't get sick of having 'good friends' around & they are the sort that make you feel relaxed even in your own home, you know...when they help themselves to your fridge & stuff.

i have 1 very special 'good friend' & he lives where I live, he eats what I eat, watches what I watch and usually thinks similar things....he'll be a friend for life, whether we like it or not....its just one of those things that are hard-to-find.

keep em while you got em & spoil them while you can.

Finally, its been a while since I rambled on about stuff.....here goes & I hope you like it.

Music, tunes, beats, 'doof doof' - however or whatever you call it......everyone needs it. There is just something about it. We all have our favourite songs and much hated ones too.

I like lots of types...my favourite at this moment is 'Take Care' by Rihanna....gosh she is amazing...no matter what anyone thinks. 

All of her songs are super great. She may be my favourite, who knows! ... but quite possibly. Plus she is hot hot hot....check out these photographs.....I'm sure you will agree, k!

sunday has arrived ... yippe.

struggle to get out of your warm, comfy bed.

press the kettle, on goes the bacon, mushrooms + eggs..

enjoying this meal with a wonderful hot medium roast coffee - mmm.

 

today was quite cute, enjoying each others company even if it's in silence.

we don't need to 'talk' to feel comfortable around each other...

a couple visitors, one who I have not seen for around 10 years....was an amazing feeling to hug the person you were once fishing for tadpoles with in the river - this being the last moment you shared with them until now after 10 years of living your own life...change, yes - lots...almost makes me shed a tear.

of course, Sundays are my-beloved cooking days so I made an orange poppyseed cake. it was quite delicious actually. i love that feeling of the poppyseeds as you crunch them in your mouth....ahh little things in life.

anyway, theres something special about my day...tell me about yours - all ears, promise.

OK, I have just tried writing 3 different blogs...cannot concentrate on either of them so I have decided to talk about concentration. Is it because I am watching a trading invention show or because I am not thinking properly about what to actually write.....ah I dunno.

When I concentrate it feels good for my brain, sort of like it's making it stronger and you feel like your sprinting along instead of walking...

I must say, how annoyed do you get when you cannot concentrate??? the easiest way to concentrate is, focus on something you enjoy and can relate too...easy huh - of course.

I am back for more, this 'blogging' may be a tad addictive...opps! Anyhoo....I have a little something to share. It is Kikki.k.....yep, majority of this word has the best letter ... 'K' but most of all, what they sell is cute, quirky and 100% lovable....stationary, one of my favourite subjects.

I love everything they use, has a vintage/modern/uber cute feel. Placed an order today so I am looking forward for my parcel to arrive in the mail...am loving the 'Owl' items they have in stock atm.

Nanna's Chocolate Slice

This recipe is a bit special, always remembered this one from when I was even littler than I am now, Nanna use to cook this & I helped her. But she never left a smidgen in the bowl for me.....Mum had to have a quiet word with her :)

Ingredients:
4 oz. Butter - melted
half cup of Brown Sugar
1 cup of Coconut & S.R Flour

Method:
- Mix Flour, Coconut & Sugar.
- Melt Butter & add to dry mix, mix together.
- Place in moderate oven until light brown.
- Ice with chocolate icing sugar.

Mondays...

When you have a day off work, do you think about all those little jobs/tasks that need completing? or do you sit on the couch all day and watch movies? do you actually get things done or waste time procrastinating over them?

Well...I do a bit of both & sometimes my management skills to complete things are totally under the weather. If you have tips on 'completing things' flick them my way...golly gosh.
