cheeky coffee

today, was one of those days.......

you know.....running late, trip over random objects, forget to pick up printing, you forget customers & more stuff that just shouldn't happen but usually happens on a Monday...lucky I had a coffee to make things all better. skinny latte with 1 sugar please - thank you kindly.

we need to think of it as a brand new & fresh day. glad it went quickly, quickest day of the week so far, hah!!! hope all of  my week goes super quick. actually got a bit of work done too. can you believe it.

if only i was this talented.

i really do hope your week goes by quick but don't forget to cherish the important moments you have.
& don't forget to smile cause that's really important.

hopefully i'll be super creative & send an amazing detailed health & fitness post, or perhaps I might make a whole blog about it & start sending you all some great tips on many great things...of course.

everyone's new years resolution consists of either eating healthy or doing more exercise, how many of you had that resolution last year and never accomplished it? ... get real, set goals that you can actually reach.

biscuit happy

Happy weekend to you all...good luck on settling into the new year & your effort on completing all your new years resolutions....

One of mine was the cut back on the 'bad foods' guess what, I have failed already! check out my own recipe for these beauties...how could i resist.

my easy recipe below
1 & a half cups of plain flour
about 200 grams of salt reduced butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste

mix & pinch with your finger tips until smooth. if its too dry add more butter, if its too wet add flour.

bake in the oven on 200 degrees/fan forced for 10-15 minutes
(depending on how cooked you like your biscuits).

once cooled, melt some dark chocolate (about 2 rows) and add milk until the chocolate is thin enough to decorate the biscuits using a knife, or spoon...whatever you prefer (about 2 tablespoons).

enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea & some kind company.

i hope your enjoying 2012 just as much as i am,
if not...these biscuits will help.

the end...

....of your working day is always great, isnt it.....

to get home & relax, i hit 'relax' as soon as i walk in the door, there is just something about being 'home'. Orlando greets me, doesnt stop meowing until i open the door from when he hears my car pull up actually.

hopefully, fingers and toes and ears and eyes crossed that i'll be pulling up on a cruiser bike before not too long. Orlando will have to test his ears big time to hear me then ey.

if i don't get one for my Birthday, i'll make it's a present from myself.....

and maybe a few of these....

...but even more of these.

Have a great rest of your day xxx

Cat Nip

well, I haven't introduced you to this little fella, although if you are my Facebook friend you would be quite familiar with Orlando & how special he is. enjoy the photos.

i picked him up from a lady in Busselton when he was 5 months old. we traded him in the car park near the Pet Shop....sounds a bit suss.....well it wasn't. simply just trading a Ragdoll for cash...oh, and some cat biscuits.
they are bestest of friends
after spending time at the Pet Shop buying Orlando new toys, food bowels & more it was time to head home. mum was with me at the time so she had the best part...looking after him while we traveled home.
playtime
i got him home & was glad I had a weeks holiday to make him feel at home and find out all the little things about him. he loved sleeping on my neck, near my heart ... all curled up to me at night until the mornings.
handsome boy
these days he is more grown up (obviously)......he tackles Oliver my Corgi, they play and chase each other around the house. i could watch it all day...its quite fascinating.
oh, did I mention he loves to play.
he is a lot of fun, makes me laugh a lot & calms me down by the touch of a pat.....they reckon people who own a cat are less stressed than those who don't. not sure if i totally agree.
they love spending time together

a few interesting facts about cats:

1. cats cannot taste things that are sweet
2. Isaac Newton invented the cat door
3. the cats tail is used to maintain balance
4. cats have the largest eyes of any mammal
5. on average, a cat will sleep for 16hours a day
6. an adult cat has 30 teeth, 16 on the top and 14 on the bottom.
